The Avondale dart is a very well laid out 2 berth caravan with very clever use of space. It has one of the best shower toilet combined setup’s available with a Thetford Cassette and a good vanity with full mirror behind. The whole area is a wet room.
The living area has a good size kitchen area with 4 burner stove with oven and grill below. There is a good size sink and drainer with flick mixer tap. There is a power point for your electrical goods. Above the fridge there is a TV point and power points, to the front of the van there are two large single beds that can be made in to a double bed.
Avondale is a smaller manufacturer in the UK, started in 1970 by a couple Graham and Lois Ball. They stopped manufacturing in 2008 but fortunately the parts are still available from the manufactures site so these are usually well priced vans with a good build quality.
The Dart is only 2.1m wide, making it a very easy caravan to tow.
I have over 30 years personal European caravan experience and have built-up a caravan sales business, Ansu, which has imported UK caravans from a main reputable caravan dealer for over the past eleven years. The UK caravan dealer checks the caravans for damp and services them prior to exporting. When we receive the caravans we fully convert them to Australian standards. This includes the standard Gas & Electrical compliance along with registration requirements for Australia. From our own caravan experience in Australia we understand the need to carry water and to also have town water fitting capability. We offer extras which include a Deep Cycle Battery, a Solar Charging System, tyre pressure monitors, reversing camera, and an Air Conditioner fitted at the RRP of the unit to our clients saving the fitting cost.
We suggest when you collect your caravan to stay the night on site in your chosen caravan. This provides you the opportunity to use your caravan in full, so you can ask for further advice if needed. You can also practice connecting your caravan up to your tow vehicle so you are happy with the procedure, and setting up the awning etc.
